Text:
in a ditch, my senses rise all around and TOOK OFF 90 miles down a dirt road, a dark cloud, & a river.
restless for the place heaven won’t leave the pines by the highway far behind, weeping alone will tell her I want to be some place in sight on the road to SOMETHING at last
mountain flood rising from an orphan with a mother i’m bound for misty rain raging between us
last night I fear I fell into surging pain i swear that a DREAM HERE creek flows DARKNESS lose me lose me take me apart her hair never found alive
but a dead dog is deserted on the concrete back home
strangers we drift effortlessly
down the open road stretched to dawn across TO NOWHERE and back
my coast is falling and skies
I last saw you ride this road full of lead and coal
for me for you I got lost in the IN THE NIGHT at night in the air her loud lonesome blood all gone
...
my ROAD turns to splinters and her covered in a corner
his hand I was cut take me from knife throttle breaking tear
I’ll accept I don’t see where I’m headed i’ve waited calling me don’t change don’t change don’t change
is there anybody coming home?
